Our camp is just about twelve miles from the farm and is situated on nineteen glorious acres on the bank of the Tensas River.  It's not only beautiful, it's isolated and serene.  The river hill by our camp site, plus some, has just been cleared and it makes for a lovely view.

Jennifer brought the grandkids to visit us today at the farm.  As usual, we had a good time.  We went for a walk around the pasture and enjoyed treating the horses to peppermints.

You can see Tommy was already trying to get the peppermint out of her teeth.  She's always loved them.  Jason, on the other hand, used to act like a three year old human with someone trying to force bad tasting medicine down them.  He used to spit it out as soon as we put one in his mouth, but last month he realized Tommy liked them and he decided to try one.  Now he's a sucker for a peppermint, too.

Ross rides Jason all over the pasture with no tack what-so-ever.  He's lucky Jason is a good boy and comfortable in his environment.

Jason was politely asking Brooklyn for another peppermint.  I guess I should have brushed the mud off of the horses before taking pictures.  That's our house in the background.

Seth ran to the flatbed which of course got the attention of all the horses.  Before he knew it a half dozen of them were closing in.  He made us laugh because he told us he was under attack.

Jason just loves attention.

John heading back after giving Cheyenne a good scratching.  We're about to fix up the old chicken house in the background up and get a few laying hens.  We're going to pen them at first, but hopefully turn them into free range birds rather quickly.

Ross pretending to wrestle with Jason.  This was his headlock position.  I have a really funny little video of the two of them wrestling.  Jason will let Ross do anything, but of course, that's because Ross would never do anything to hurt him, and he knows it.  He just loves getting the attention.

John and Ross with Jason.  Ross and Jason hang on to each other constantly.  If Ross isn't on Jason in some way, Jason is resting his head on Ross.  I think that's Tommy's ear in the picture.

I love this picture.  It wasn't posed, either.  Ross was laughing at something that was being said and Jason was watching Seth walk to the gate.  If it were posed, I would have brushed Jason off.

This was another picture I liked of Ross and Jason.

Jason just loves hanging out with Ross.  In this video clip they were "wrestling".  It's narrated, somewhat, anyway.

Jason was in our hair when we were leaving, so Jennifer, Brooklyn and I stopped and then I went ahead so I could film what he was going.  He really liked them.

Boy, we like the country life!
