Our farm is located in North Louisiana.  It's five hundred acres of beautiful, productive land.  The farm is mostly in crops, but we have some in woodlands and some in pasture, in addition to the home site.

This is our front yard from the side of it.  You can see the front of our house and the old barn, too.

The old barn in the front pasture built in the early 1890's.

Another view of the front pasture.

Our neighbors on both sides are fantastic.  Here's a view of the pasture that we share with our neighbors to the north. The nearest part is ours and the rest theirs, but all our horses live together there.

The view from behind the old pecan orchard facing up towards the side yard.  John has been clearing this and we plan to fence it in for the horses one day.

This field isn't far from the house either.  We planted the back part of it in hardwoods and native grasses.  I'll take pictures of that, too, once it's established.  We started the year with plans to increase the acreage that was irrigated and to put some more of the land into hardwoods.

This is the larger of two fields that we recently had irrigated.  This picture shows part of where the pipe was buried.

I took these pictures of John and Ross visually surveying the completed installation.

By January the wheat was coming up and getting pretty.  It certainly wasn't in need of irrigation.  Not yet, anyway!

This is another field that has just been irrigated.  It's  on the south side of the house.  The first two pictures are from the front side, by the road and the third is from the back towards the road.

This is a picture of one of the wheat fields on the west side of the road.  There's woodlands and more wheat behind it.  To the north of it is a lot of woodlands.

There's a creek that runs through the farm.  We enjoy it, but we used to have beaver problems here.  They were decimating the woodlands and flooding the cropland.  We removed them from the farm and we no longer have these problems.

We've been getting to do a lot of clearing by the farm house and expanding the yard.  John has been working hard at it and it shows!
