The Red
Breasted Robin is gray above, brick red below. Head and tail black in
males, dull gray in females. Young birds are spotted below.

Their range is
from Alaska eat across continent to Newfoundland, and south to California,
Texas, Arkansas, and South Carolina. Winters north to British
Columbia and Newfoundland. |

They are said to
rarely be in the deep south, but we see them quite often. We have a
good one or two hundred robins on the farm lately. They are said to
like lawns with large trees in the deep south. The top two pictures
were taken in Baton Rouge. |
