Specifically a
Myrtle Yellow-rumped Warbler. Rather large; long tail
flared at tip; round head and stout black bill. |
| |
|
Their range is
from northern Alaska, northern Newfoundland south in West to northern Mexico
and in East to Michigan, northern New York, Massachusetts, and Maine.
Winters from southern part of breeding range southward into the tropics. |

|
We have a flock of
these wintering here in North Louisiana. |

I was pleased with
these in flight pictures. They show the marking quite well. |

The lighting was poor
but I thought the fact that this one is pictured with a worm in it's mouth
warranted posting here. |
